- The Rebozo Way Project- A rebozo is the traditional Mexican shawl worn by women and girls of all ages, for warmth, protection from the strong sun, during ceremonies, or to carry whatever's needed at the moment, be it merchandise, firewood, or a baby or small child. The Rebozo Way of Life is a phrase that decribes a mobil, social and instinctively close relationship of mother with their babies, worn in a cloth wrap or shawl most of their waking hours, be the mothers traditional tribal women, or members of a more Western cultural mileau. The Rebozo Way Project is a vehicle for education about ancient ways of birthing, bonding and being with babies, and family and community. We use art, images and stories to share traditional practices of indigenous peoples that are relevant to all of our lives as caring members of the world community.(Added: Sun Apr 28 2002 Hits: 465 Rating: 0.00 Votes: 0) Rate It
